In Memory to Paige

   Ashley Paige Neal, 17, 3831 Norman Drive, Joplin, MO, passed away at 8:50 a.m., Thursday, August 5, 1999 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, AR, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was 
returning from Basketball Camp at the University of Arkansas.

   Paige was born on September 18, 1981 in Jackson, MS, to Cindy and Kenny Neal. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

   Paige was an outstanding athlete. She played Little League Softball  for 7 years at the Blinzer Sports Complex in Joplin, MO and was named to the All-Star Team 5 of those 7 years. She was a 2 year starter for Joplin High School Softball and Basketball Teams. She received the "Outstanding Offensive Player" Award in Softball for the 1998 season. Recipient of the "Hustle" Award from SMSU Basketball Camp, her accolades continued  with the "Most Improved Player" Award from MSSC Basketball Camp this summer. Paige was thrilled to receive an invitation to the University of Arkansas Top 100 Elite Camp which she attended. As a result of her hard work and perseverance, Paige had become a top college prospect in both softball and basketball.

   Paige was a Teacher's Assistant for the Special Education classes at Joplin High School; she had agreat affinity for this work.

   She had decided to unselfishly be an organ donor, and because of her, a 16 year old girl in Arkansas, Now Has A New, Strong And Healthy Heart.

   Paige's enthusiasm for life was extraordinary! The Sparkle in her eyes, her compassion for others, the dedication and love for family and friends, the way she embraced challenges ... She will be remembered always.

   Paige's spirit will continue through through all the lives she generously touched.

Decisions, Decisions. Should I use the bat Laken is offering, or put my shoes on. I just don't know.
