It kinda sucks that a lot of the big search engines are charging you to submit your website to them. Surely their aim should be to provide as much choice as possible to the person using them! Here is a list of the search engines and web sites that were good enough to let me submit this for free:
Newsgroups
When
I'm not too busy (which is, sadly, very rarely these days) you’ll find me in alt.silly.little.newsgroup or in Yahoo’s Silliness and
Nonsense group. Only enter this groups if you’ve got a rather warped sense
of humour! J

will find me there under the name of Frog Funky or Lee McAndrew.
