Experience

Battlefield Middle School - Spotsylvania, Virginia. 1994 - June 2000. Teacher of 8th grade Science for five years. Teacher of 6th grade Math/Science/Social Studies for one year. Experienced with Virginia SOL requirements for all above subjects. Other duties have included: Wrestling Coach(5 years), Softball Coach (2 years), SCA Sponsor (2 years), Peer Mediation Advisor (1 year), SCOPE Teacher (1 year), GLAD Class (at risk 
students) Advisor (1 year).


Education

May 1994 - M.S. Degree in Middle School Education with concentration in Math and Science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

August 1993 - B.S. Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Old Dominion
University in Norfolk, Virginia.

April 1990 - Completed Journeyman Machinist Certificate program through Norfolk Naval Shipyard and Tidewater Community College


Achievements

- I currently hold a professional teaching license with the state 
of Virginia in which I am certified to teach Math and Science in grades 4-8.

- Completed training through Spotsylvania County (Virginia) Schools in the areas of: Dimensions of Learning, Internet I & II, and HTML Programming.

- Coached baseball for, and held administrative offices in, the Western Branch Athletic Club from 1988 to 1993. Founded their Fall Baseball 
program in 1989.
