PROM
This was Prom '99! Steph and I had a blast! I couldn't have had a better time! These pictures are the ones that my dad took with his digital camera. I will have the official pictures that we got taken at the dance up in about 2 weeks(or as soon as I get them)! I'll start by talking about the night, and between pics there will be a little more info. Just click on the pics to see a larger pic of it. The story will be in order, so you can read right down the page. Enjoy!
The evening started at 4:30, when i was supposed to be at her house. I was running about 4 minutes late, but when I arrived, her dad answered the door to tell me that Steph wasn't even back yet from her hair appointment! So I went inside and talked to him for about 10 minutes, which was pretty cool since I hadn't really talked to him until then.
About this time she finally came in with her hair looking like a princess'. She was still wearing her regular cloths, so she and her mom went back to put on her dress. I got to talk to her dad a little more. She came out at about 4:55. We got our pictures taken(those are the ones that I will be adding later). After that, we went to my house and got our pictures taken with the digital, which are the pics you see here.
After we got those pics taken, we went to Colleen's house for pics of the group. We were supposed to be there at 5:15, but it was closer to 5:30 by the time we got there. When we arrived, we got our group pics taken and went on our way. We stopped by over at Dairy Queen(where I work) because our(4/6 of the group) boss wanted to see us all. So we went and got Misty's! That was fun. We went to the hospital next, so we could see Anne Marie, Colleens sister. For those of you who don't know, she was in an accident in February.
After the hospital, we went to dinner at De Vinci's! I ate a pizza! Steph kept telling me to keep my elbow's off the table, but it was kinda a habit. Anyway, dinner went great! We had a lot of fun! After dinner, we went directly to the Wyndam Hotel, which is where Prom was being held. We got in line and got our pics taken first. This was a good because the line got really long after that. So we went in and danced a few songs...then everyone joined in! We even got video taped because there was a video camara which was viewed on this huge screen in the front of the place. That was cool.
The whole night was a blast! We danced almost every dance, and I got a little more comfortable with being with Steph around other people, because she and I had been kinda been a couple that shared moments when we're alone, so it was easier. After Prom, she came over my house and we watched a movie. The next morning, we went to Kings Island, which is an amusement park here in Ohio.
We had a lot of fun that day. We started the day going around alone, then at lunch, Colleen joined us. We had a lot of fun. We only rode a couple of rollar coasters, but it was still fun.
That night, Steph and I ate dinner with her parents. That was fun because I hadn't really gotten to know them a whole lot until then. I was keeping my manners in hand more during that dinner than I was all Prom! After dinner, we went back to Steph's house to get some dessert. Steph ended up driving me home. We drove around a bit to conclude the day with a nice talk. The whole weekend was an awesome weekend! I had a ton of fun!
