Round 1... vs Penrith (Sat 14th March)
27 - 16
A good win to start the season. Schifcofske scored 2 tries while Whereat and McCracken scored 1 each.
Round 2... vs Gold Coast (Sat 21st March)
14 - 12
Whereat 2, Kelly 1.
Round 3... vs North Queensland (Sun 29th March)
15 - 16
We just couldn't convert anything, tries nor goals. Barnes 2, Schifcofske 1.
Round 4... vs Manly (Fri 3rd April)
34 -10
An excellent win. Jason Smith was best player with Aaron Raper and John Simon coming in 2nd and 3rd. Smith scored 2 tries, with Raper, Whereat, Kelly and Penna scoring 1 each. The game was held up for over 50 minutes when the Careflight Helicopter landed on the field to take injured players, Nathan Cayless and Greg Harland to hospital. Cayless suffered suspected neck injuries while Harland received concussion during the President's Cup game.
Round 5... vs Canterbury (Sat 11th April)
22 - 14
A great defensive game, especially from Pay, Smith and Raper. A good win in what could be described as a semi-finals pace. Pay, Barnes and Simon scored a try each and Clinton Schifcofske kicked 3 from 3 (Simon 0 from 1).
Round 6... vs Melbourne (Sun 19th April)
22 - 32
A crap day all round.
Round 7... vs Illawarra (Sun 26th April)
12 - 20
Not good, not good.
Round 8... vs Gold Coast (Sun 3rd May)
24 - 2
A good game of footy considering the very wet conditions. A good result for an Eels team without Dymock.
Round 9... vs Balmain (Fri 8th May)
21 - 18
A great hard fought win. However, the video referee should be booted.
