Whew... that was a LONG spell. It's the holidays here, I've just sat for my exams and bored as hell. So i've gathered enough patience to patch this site up once more. There are of course a lot of back-dated news, so I guess I'll have to leave that out and start anew.

SCHMEICHEL JOINS SPORTING LISBON

Manchester United have given Peter Schmeichel a glowing send-off as he prepares to play out the twilight of his career in Portugal.
The veteran Danish goalkeeper, who quit English football after helping United to their unprecedented treble last season, has signed a two-year contract with Sporting Lisbon.
Old Trafford chairman Martin Edwards said: "Obviously we wish Peter well for the future at his new club.
"He enjoyed tremendous success with United, was a great servant to the club and has left us at his peak.
"Everyone here understands and respects his decision and all of us, the players and fans, wish him well and hope he has more success in the future."
Schmeichel, who joined United from Danish club Brondby in 1991, will reportedly receive around £600,000 per year.

BOSNICH REJOINS UNITED IN 4-YEAR CONTRACT

Mark Bosnich has signed a 4-year contract with Manchester United following the departure of Danish goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel. The 27 year-old Australian International left Aston Villa under the Bosman Ruling and rejoined United after a ten-year period.
United were linked to several goalkeepers when Peter Schmeichel insisted that he would leave the club after the end of the season. Fabien Barthez, Edwin Van Der Sar and Parma 'keeper Buffon were all being rumored to be hounded by the Red Devils but eventually it was Bosnich who snapped up the deal and would fill Schmeichel's shoes.
