5-1-2 DEFENSE

The 5-1-2 is a all or nothing defense. It is very risky but at the same very lethal.

DE-1)Alignment on outside shoulder of offensive end
   
   2)Jam the end then contain

   3)Play pitch man on option

   4)Key is backs

   5)Pass plays cover the first back on his side

DT-1)alignment heads up or on outside shoulder of offensive gaurd.

   2)Penetrate thruogh outside shoulder of gaurd.

   3)If there is a split reciver, he must play defensive end.

   4)Play dive man on option.

NG-1)Jack up center and go to ball.

   2)Play dive man on option.

   3)Keep center from blocking linebacker.

   4)Alignment heads up on center.

ML-1)Go to ball

   2)Must get to QB on option plays.

   3)Alignment anywhere behind the defensive line.

CB-1)Support on running plays.

   2)On pass plays cover end man.

   3)alignment behind or a step to the outside of DE.
