OSU Graduate Program

A Graduate Assistantship in Athletic Training at The Ohio State University emphasizes the administrative and teaching aspects of the athletic training profession. Graduate Assistants are assigned to one of the various training rooms on campus to provide supervision of the training room and the student trainers who work out of that facility.

In addition to supervising, the graduate assistants play an integral role in the educational development of the student trainer through competency coursework, inservices, and daily consulting. The graduate assistant is also assigned to work various home sporting events, thus allowing a certified athletic trainer to be present at most Ohio State home contests.
