Important Announcements

José Montoya is proud to announce that his youngest daughter, Maria Lorca Montoya (20), has started teaching Spanish Dancing. She will be teaching at the studios of both her father, Jose, her mother Helena Montoya, the Pro Arte Alphen Park School Dancing Department and at the Pretoria Technikon.

Maria Lorca accompanied her parents to Spain 2 years ago to dance there professionally, and subsequently stayed behind to study under the world-renowned  Martin Vargos. Senhor Vargos was responsible for the choreography of that unforgettable and emotion-packed Paso Doble in the film "Strictly Ballroom".
Parents José and Helena are thrilled that the many years of training is paying off and that one of their children is inspired by the tradition they have set, and eager to carry on the legacy of absolute professionalism in the world of Spanish Dance.

Vuka International Promotions announces the staging of the ever-popular RAINBOW NATION DANCE SENSATION.

On Friday 10th and Saturday 11th of March 2000, you can experience a quick trip to exotic destinations - IT IS ENTERTAINMENT TIME AGAIN.

As an additional bonus, you can meet Johan Scholtz (Adriaan from Egoli), who is an ex-student of the famous José Montoya and you can buy his latest CD which has just been released nationwide. Johan is prepared to autograph every single CD purchased at the show.

The programme will include Latin American dancing courtesy of The Latin Look Studio, pre-school VolkspeIers and ethnic dancers, award-winning school percussion bands, Irish Dancing and more!!!
Apart form students participating in the show, the second half will feature the very popular José Montoya Spanish Dance Theatre.

The success of this and the future of similar shows will depend on the support of our various groups in the sale of tickets. Please support us in this venture as we would like to have similar shows in future with capacity crowds.

Venue: Laerskool Skuilkrans, Murrayfield. Tickets sell at R22, per person and are available from José Montoya - contact 012- 804 2054 or cell  083 252 8340. Book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
