            NB: these social tapes are extremely popular because of the easy-to-follow format.


           The Format: first a demonstration of all the patterns danced to music in partnership, from 1 to  

           10/15 as listed on the chart. Each pattern is then presented slowly to count with the male    

           instructor's back to the learner when the man's part is demonstrated, and the female instructor's

           back to the learner when the lady's part is shown. The learner therefore copies the instructor 

           exactly, front-on, as if being taught in a studio by a teacher. No craning of the neck to follow the 

           instruction, and no excessive, distractive talking - monkey see, monkey do.

          

           Note: only one 3-hour tape is needed for the recording of all the above dances
