Toronto 15 @ Philadelphia 13
The Toronto Rock (6-3) looked confused early in the game in Philadelphia (5-3), allowing a quick 2-0 lead to turn into an 8-4 deficit by the ten minute mark of the second quarter. Then the Rock began to shoot. Piazza's inexperience in big game situations showed, as the netminder alternated between sensational saves and soft goals. In the end, Waston and the Rock defense was enough to send 16,544 fans home disappointed from the First Union Center. Colin Doyle was name game MVP for the Rock with seven points, while the Wings were led by Marechek's 8 point night. The vicotry gives the Rock possession of second place in the NLL, and more importantly, the tiebreaker over the Wings should the two teams end up with the same record.
