Best moments - (1) World Cup 1997 (2) World Individual Final 1997 ( ) Brit. Indoor Team Champs 1999/2000 at my 6th attempt. Worst moments - every Finals weekend

Good to hear Pip Serbert is alive and well, I think I saw him in an episode of Emmerdale recently (or was that Seth Armstrong). All hail the BCF for stopping some shoddy pre-season transfers. We all know who I'm refering to and its about time too. Loyalty seems to be a thing of the past in sport these days and i'm pretty sure that its killed off many a team. I suggest that before iders try to jump ship they should have a good look at some of the lesser teams such as Hull, Trimley etc (no offense) who through hard work of a few stalwarts manage to keep cycle speedway alive in there area and bring enjoyment to many more. The alterna ive is to all join a super team and support Manchester united. god help us all.

I was looking for info on Trimley (where I once lived many, many years ago!) I came across the Trimley Tigers webpage and much to my delight, I came across two names that I recognise from when I lived there. (A.Algar and C. gorham) I presume they are Alan Algar and Christopher Gorham whom lived next door to each other in St Mary's Close, Trimley. (Chris's sister Linda was my first best friend ever and I haven't heard from her in over fifteen years.) If you know of these people, I would love to make contact again after all these years!! Glad to see Cycle Speedway emerging on the Internet! I was involved with Poole Cycle Speedway Club from the mid-70's to the late 80's before marriage and kids got in the way! Although I was never a good rider, I did have some successes, and I was involved with the running of the Poole Club and enjoyed(?) refereeing. I thoroughly enjoyed the years I spent in Cycle Speedway, met some lovely people and have some great memories. Best of luck with the development of this site ............I'll visit again.

Nice to see Cycle speedway gets a look in on the internet. Shame that the sport is still such a minority sport. Keep the Spokesman alive - it's the last good opportunity to market the sport. I'm a former Morden CSC rider - now sadly closed down like so many less glamorous clubs. Regards Neil

Great site! This is one of the few ways to keep us informed about British cycle speedway. We look forward to more news! I shall have to learn to make such a site for Dutch cycle speedway. Regards to all cycle speedway friends.

I've just heard the distressing news that the Midlands league is to merge with the BLN. How are teams such as Bury, Astley and Hull mean't to survuve when put up against the likes of Wednesfield and Leicester? The Midlands have ruined their own league by showing lack of loyalty to one club, and I for one don't want them to ruin the BLN. I bet Scotia can't wait to race Leicester , 800 mile round trip.
