May 10, 1997 Q and A In the interests of improving me site, I've decided to do a column, so to speak. I plan to do a new one at least three times a week. And the first thing I want to discuss if the New World Order, circuit Stan Grubb's NAWA and Mike D's IWCW. For the record, right now, all the members except three are owned by one person, NWO4Lyfe. He controlled all four of the original members, current IWCW and NAWA World champion Security, Macho Man Randy Savage, Hollywood Hogan, and current IWCW and NAWA Cruiserweight champion Syxx. The Hellhounds (not controlled by Lyfe) were the first two "expansion members." Recency, Steve Austin and Sting joined with the group as well. And we can't leave out the final member of the NWO not controlled by Lyfe, Ring Decon. Randy Savage sort of feuded with Ric Flair in the beginning, but the person who owned IWCW rights to Flair, Jeff Jarrett, and Dallas Page, and the New Blackjacks is gone from the federation. All five of those wrestlers are currently unsigned by the way. Hollywood Hogan and Randy Savage have been fairly unproductive in the wins department and haven't had as much to say recently. one of Hogan's notable matches had him, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, and my Ace Tanke in a triangle match, which ended with Ace forcing Flair to submit. Steve Austin and Syxx have been running their mouths a lot, with Steve as a federation newcomer and Syxx as cruiserweight champion. He is also going to be teaming with my Wildlife for a while, with their main goal being to win the Cruiserweight tag team championships. Austin has also perpetrated an attack on another newcomer to the NAWA and possibly IWCW, that being Bret "Hit Man" Hart. The other mew members appear to be Sting, Mystery Manager, and someone else. Sting was in the IWCW from the start under a different owner and went through the World Title Tournament, facing NWO's Security and my Ace Tanke in the final triangle match. And Mystery Manager won't be a mystery for long, as I read the situation. The NWO doesn't have or want any allies, but it has plenty of enemies. My group, Aceside, like many others, don't like the New World Order at all. Their allies the Dungeon of Doom are in full agreement. There's a newer Sandman led ECW invasion that seems to be slightly overshadowing the NWO angle. Stan Grubb recently stepped down from the President's position to join his federation in an offense against both the ECW and nWo invasion but their first target is clearly the New World Order. Finally, they've gotten into it with "The AFW Icon" MasterIceman already. The NWO isn't just without allies, it might be managerless as well. Eric Bishoff is long gone and Ted DeBiose might be out the door as well. One wonders if NWO's current part time member Dennis Rodman (what, you expect Lyfer to pass on the Rodman angle?) could be "groomed" for a consulting role. I might contribute a few members in each league. Leading candidates are my own character Steve Alta as well as New Razor Ramon, New Diesel (since the Outsiders don't want to join), Buddy Rogers (only I'd change his name and claim he's a descendant to Rogers), and maybe Mr. Perfect. Not all of them, just a few. They've done fairly well as far as champions go, though. So far, the NWO's prime player Security has dominated the World titles of the now two federations from the get go. In addition, Syxx recently won the Cruiserweight title right before the federation split into two, and owns both versions. And Hollywood Hogan held the World Tag Team titles with Chris Hart, losing them long before the split to the Eliminators (I think) and resulting in Chris turning on the NWO and going to the ECW. What does the future hold for the New World Order? In IWCW, they'll be in a big four on four on four matchup vrs. the IWCW and ECW. The winners get to host pay per views and get any title shots they want for a year! Security looks to be champion for a long time to come, and Syxx could conceivably hold the Cruiserweight singles and tag team titles at the same time. Only time will tell however what the future holds. In the coming columns I'll focus other prominent groups and individuals in the IWCW and NAWA. Hope you enjoyed the column. E-Mail me your thoughts, insights, and suggestions at nwononame@Geocities.com. I'll try to answer everyone who writes to me.
