John Woo John Woo is simply the greatest movie director. No one directs an action scene like Woo! Many succesful directors such as Quentin Terentino and Robert Rodriguez have been influenced by the genius of John Woo. You always know a John Woo directed film when you see slow motion action sequences, the same action sequence shown repeatedly from different camera angles, bullets flying everywhere, strong character development and of course actors toting two guns!

Some classic Woo movies include Hardboiled, the Killer, A Better Tommorow and Bullet in the Head. Some of his newer movies include Misson Impossible II, Broken Arrow, Face-OFF and Black Jack. My Favorite Woo movies are Hardboiled, Face-OFF, and the Killer.

What you have to watch out for are the movies Woo is associated with but he does not actually direct- movies like The Big Hit and Replacement Killers. They are alright but they cannot hold a candle to a real authentic Woo directed film.
