1998 Track Preview

Mile stud Eric Bell returns from a 4:19 and state runner-up junior season with lofty goals in distances from the 800 to the 2-mile. The core of last years All-KIL 4x800 team, Matt Skinner, Michael Rasmussen, and Brian Holladay, form the heart of a formidable middle distance crew. Super Sophomore Kevin Yeager, starring in the 300 hurdles, 400, high jump, long jump, triple jump, as well as on the basketball court and soccer field, looks to make his presence known in the decathalon. Fellow all-around athlete Matt Bailey expects to excel in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, and decathalon. Returning nearly all of the point scorers from last years KIL championship team, Farragut's squad of Fabulous Fleeted Feet hopes to make the step up to competition on the state, and in some cases national, level.
