Euro Dvorak keyboard layout [Steve v1.0]
Please note that this is strictly my version 1 of the keyboard layout, it, as stated in the picture and elsewhere, is originally designed by Patrick Toche, I am in close collaboration with him to get a unified Europe wide layout. This seems the most likely to reach an OS officially, as it can be one, single keyboard layout that sufficies better than any other layout that has come before for many, many languages. The original design I have been given by Patrick Toche is in it's unadultered form for download on my main site, please, test it out and give feedback in the questions topic at: http://mb.steveszone.com - Click New Euro Keys forum and go into the Euro Dvorak thread there, you don't need to sign up, guest posting is allowed. Of course you can tell me what you think of the changes I have inflicted on that original. Please do, it all helps.
Differences between Patrick's first public release (we'll call it Patrick v1.0 for naming purposes) and this one:
Euro Dvorak background:
Philosophy
To adapt the US Dvorak keyboard layout currently available with Windows so that
it may be used with other languages that use accents.
To develop a one-fit-most European Dvorak layout wherever possible
To allow switching back and forth between English, French, Spanish, etc. This
demand is likely to get more common not only in Europe but in the whole world,
especially Spanish-English (America), German-English (Germany, Austria), French-English
(France, Québec, Africa, etc.), etc.
Why develop a European Dvorak layout ? It is already a nightmare for French
people brought up on azerty to use qwerty when they travel to the UK or for
qwerty people to use azerty when they come to France. We believe Dvorak users
want to avoid this whenever possible.
