I believe that all code should be distributed IF and ONLY when it's author(s) give their permission. The web's format doesn't allow for that as sourcecode of all pages are readily available and easily copied.
Although a strong believer in web originality, I have to admit, this my first page in which I openly admit to 'stealing' other people's code (CSS and javascript).
The only reason why i did such a thing was because this was my first venture into Browser 4 programming and I didn't have a book for it, ie. I had to 'steal' code of other pages as 'examples' for me to build on.
I guess I'm sorry for what I've done as I've just become a hypocrite or something sinister like that.
But with that code, I was able to fully develop my page for IE4, something I wanted to do and this was the only was to do it.
All code which I copied has been altered, built-on, or/and formatted in such a way that none of it is exactly the same as when I copied it. I also gave A LOT of credit for it as various posts and pages state that I copied the code. I also have given links to the sites in which I copied the code - which is more than what is probably hoped for.
If you feel for any reason that I've copied your code that you YOURSELF wrote and you don't like it when you see it on my page, please EMAIL me by clicking on my name near the bottom of the page. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
I suppose I couldn't do anything about it as most code is hardcoded into the layout, but I could give you more links/buttons top whatever your page is. I don't know, you'll have to email me first before anything is done.
Don't sue me, I have no money, no car, no house, no wife, no inheritence, no assets, limited liability, and zero intelligence.
But if you are the other kind of people - the people that come to my site to STEAL MY CODE, then I guess I can't do anything about it. I don't control the police, nor the FBI, so go ahead, copy away. Just don't copy everything. And besides, it's always better to be original.
If you do take something off my site, even an image or anything for that matter, it'd be really nice for you to link me. You can get the complete linking code at the 'Current Links' page - just copy and paste - so it's easy. And it'd be nice for you to email me, so I can visit your page and check it out man cos that's cool homie so just chill.
