This is Joye. She's the lead singer and only girl of the band. She recently got married in April of '99. She resolves all the band's conflicts. She exclusively uses AKG microphones
Jeremy is the self taught guitarist of the band. He's never had a guitar lesson in his life. But he does claim that aliens taught him some of his fave licks. Jeremy is going into his 2nd year at Geneva College. He is involved with a bible study with Ben and some other buddies when he's back home.
Here is Ben. He is the bass player.... and the quietest of the group. Although he does have his odd sense of hummor, he can also get serious when he needs to. The rest of the band claims that Ben's life revolves around two things... God and then bass. Ben has one awesome car...... but that doesn't matter. He's going into his 3rd year at CCAC. After that, he plans on going to Robert Morris college.
Jason is the manager of the band. He plans out the whole band's schedule and books all their shows. Jason takes guitar lessons from a national recording artist. He attends Grove City college and is going into his Junior year. He is majoring in pre-med. He's one smart guy.
Then there's Nathan..... aka Tank. He's the drummer for the band. Tank is currently sharing an apartment with Jason. Tank has an awesome sense of humor and is a really good person to go to advice for. He's always open to new ideas. Pics of Tank will be on here asap.
THE STORY
Second Coming was started in late April or May of 1996. There weren't any real plans of them becoming an actual band anyimte in the future. It all started out as a worship band. The band led worship for their first time at a Moon Youth For Christ meeting in May of '96. They then led worship for 2 other youth groups. They figured they needed a name and so they decided on Alien Revolt. The band members' talents improved as they grew closer to the Lord. Jeremy and Jason started writing some of their own music.

Within the next month, the band started playing small concerts for local youth groups. Once the band was writing their own music, they decided they needed a new name. After a lot of conflict, they came upon Second Coming. Other choices were: God's Taco, The Revolting Pulpits, and some others. Alien Revolt became the name for Second Coming's first song. The band still didn't believe they would actually make it anywhere. As the song list grew, they played in more places. In August of '96, the band played at Mahaffey Christian Camp. Since the band wasn't too experienced, the crowd of over 500 people was overwhelming. The music wasn't the best, but everyone still loved it. It must've been God's way of encouraging them to keep with it.

Later in August, they contacted a representative from a Christian record company. She asked them for a demo, but they didn't ahve one at the time. After much prayer, God provided them with a professional recording at no cost. Second Coming then released a 3 song demo.

After some legal troubles over a copyright, the band had to change their name..... once again. The band came up with Forty-Five Degrees.... and hope that the name stays! As concerts continued and donations increased, the band was able to accumulate enough money to head back into the studio.

In July of '97, the band entered Judah Records to produce a 13 track CD, sparing no expense. Using the latest digital ADAT recording techniques, quality mastering from New York City, and the reputablae duplication of Disk Makers, 45Degrees produced a top quality, radio-ready CD that matches favorably with any other popular CD on the market. "Mirror" was released on December 6, 1997, and the band has seen numerous sales and promises to continue.

The band then went back in the studios in the fall of 1998 torecord a praise and worship album. They got the idea after playing worship up at a week long camp called Suncrest. And the idea came form the inspiration from the Moon YFC and Broadhead Alliance. The band got back into the studio with a list of songs to record. They ended up narrowing it down to a 12 track CD called "Glory". The CD was released on February 21, 1999. The band also came out with shirts. The cd release party had a huge turnout and sold a lot of the band's merchandise.

The band's ages range from 19-22, which makes them a pretty young band. Stylelistically, the band has been likened to the Wallflowers, Cranberries, and Blondie. Its unique music makes any comparison difficult. 45 Degrees calls its style "spirit-filled alter-pop", and they stand firmly by their belief in Jesus Christ which is reflected in both their lifestyles and lyrics. It is to Him that they give credit for any success, and it is He who controls any future.
