Strange Survival Stories

Survival Stories

Some survival stories (when you are done reading these, submit your own and maybe I'll post it).....

1: A couple of years ago, I was stung by jellyfish about thirty times. Let me tell you about pain and welts......I had some monster welts, it looked like I had been whipped with something (the jellyfish stingers) It really hurts so I wouldn't recommend getting into the water if you know that there are jellyfish in the water. Also when the waves are rough, the jellyfish get chopped up in the surf and there are then millions of tiny jellyfish body parts. Those pieces can still sting you and hurt probably just as bad as when you get stung by a whole jellyfish. Hints to avoid being stung by jellyfish: get a full body wetsuit and don't stick your head under the water, don't go in the water (which isn't much fun on a vacation), or have a group of little kids surrounding you when you go in the water. (my personal favorite)

2: About two years ago, I went off a jump when we went skiing at Vernon Valley. When I went off the jump my body turned sideways (I have no idea how), being sideways in the air gave me one of the biggest if not the biggest adrenaline rush of my life. While I was in the air I somehow managed to twitch my body so that I was facing down the slope and could land the jump safely. Right after I did that, I was feeling lucky (probably because I was still on my huge adrenaline rush) so I decided to hit another jump, probably the best jump I ever did (a Devil's Cross). Hints to avoid being stuck in the air sideways: actually do some scouting of a jump before you hit it, don't go skiing and if you do don't be jumps, or have somebody you don't really like go and hit the jump and see of it's safe (also my personal favorite)
