Boba, also known as Pearl Tea or Tapioca Tea, is an iced drink that can be made from a variety of brewed teas, and have tapioca balls on the bottom. These are called boba, and their name lends itself to the drink. The sweet drink is served in a tall glass or tall plastic cup. The tapioca balls are sucked up through a large novelty straw as the drink is consumed. This drink is a favorite among teens and young adults in the Asian-American community.
