Vietnam and India have shared strong Political links over the years. President Ho Chi Minh and Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation to a relationship which has blossomed since then.

It is on this foundation that the trade and economic relationship is beginning to blossom and to attain depth . Indian Companies are beginning to actively invest in Vietnam. What was a trickle earlier , is now promising to become a flood.

Under this promising environment and with encouragement from the Indian Embassy in Hanoi and the Indian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh , the Indian Business Chamber In Vietnam ( INCHAM ) was officially established in March 1999.

The chamber primarily endeavors to play an active role in promoting the two way trade between the two countries. It aims to create a forum that allows members to assist and compliment each other to establishing a smooth framework for the development of Indian Business in Vietnam. It would also assist authorities in Vietnam in promoting Indo-Vietnamese commercial and economic co-operation .

It would gather , exchange and collate business and other relevant information for the benefit of members. One of the important functions of the INCHAM would be to facilitate meetings between Govt. bodies and members. INCHAM regularly keeps its members informed on its various activities from the fulcrum , Social activities bring the members together regularly.
