Books and Reading

Reading is my favourite thing to do. I'd read over watching TV or movies any day. I love being able to invision what's happening all on my own. Fiction opens up new worlds and Non-fiction expands our mind.

I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want to read. My husband has read all of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and the Witches trilogy and the Harry Potter series too but other than that, is not interested in reading anything else. I suggest another vampire book and he's not interested. He also reads some Pagan non-fiction but he's just not into it. He'd rather sit in front of the TV all day. My mom reads but only a few novels a year, she says she doesn't have time. I make time. My dad doesn't read at all. He CAN but he DOESN'T. The last time he read a book other than a computer manual was over 4 years ago. Before that another 8 years or so. I just don't get it.

So I read all kinds of books and review them on my book blogs:

SMS Book Reviews - this is my main one and includes challenges I'm participating in and review books from publishers. You'll find adult fiction and non-fiction and children's fiction and non-fiction.

Pagan Kid Book Reviews - Here I review books suitable for pagan children. Most aren't actually pagan but may be about faeries or taking care of the earth.

Witch Media - this is for reviews of books, TV shows and movies that feature witches. You'll find a synopsis, review and accuracy section that discusses how close the witches in the media are to real witches.

Authors and Publishers

I accept copies of books for review on my main blog, SMS Book Reviews. I'll read almost anything, including Christian Fiction, as long as you don't mind that I'm Pagan. Please send offers to callista83@cogeco.ca and I'll get back to you within a week. Please make sure you can send me the book without me having to pay customs as I live in Canada.
