Biography:

• Born: 6 February 1971, Phoenix, Arizona. Graduated Central High School, class of 1989. Employed at Tokyo Express Restaurants.
  
• Attended Rice University 1989 - 1991, major: Environmental Engineering / Spanish. Employed as Head Lifeguard and in the Office of the Vice President; Governor's Internship with the Az. Dept. of Water Resources.
  
• Enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, February, 1992:
  
  • Feb - Jul 1992: Recruit Training, MCRD San Diego. MCT, School of Infantry, Camp Pendleton, California. Platoon Guide, Company Guide.Awards: National Defense Medal, Meritorious Mast.
    
  • Jul - Sep 1992: Marine Corps Communications-Electronics School, Twenty-Nine Palms, California. Graduated Field Radio Operator's Course as Class Commander.
    
  • Oct 1992 - Nov 1994: Third Marine Division, Okinawa, Japan. Duties as radio operator and in leadership billets with 4th, 9th (Infantry) and 12th (Artillery) Regiments and Headquarters Battalion, 3MarDiv, in operations in Okinawa, South Korea, Thailand, and Russia.
