The Dolphin痴 Day Have you ever watched the way, A playful dolphin will jump and sway, Not afraid of humans, Or any human thing, They will put on a show, For all to see. To watch them play in the ocean waves, To see them joyfully entertain, For anyone who will watch them, Anyone who will care, That the gentle creatures are even there. So I ask you, Would you harm these beautiful creatures? When they have done nothing to you, Except provide some entertainment, For you and your family and friends to see. For to harm these delicate animals, Is as bad as hurting your friend, If you befriend a playful dolphin, You値l have a friend to the end. -Ashley McLean

The Importance of Life The importance of life, The importance of you and me, And the importance of he and she, Is all the same reason. You were put on this earth by God, Who loves you very much, He put you on this earth for a reason, He wants you to stay true to his commands, And never listen to the Devil痴 demands. The importance of your life, Is that you are here, To love and be loved, And that one day , You will be with the Lord, And live in eternal peace. -Ashley McLean
Cry I feel my eyes begin to water, And I know what is about to happen, The reason for this I do not know, But I wish did. This happens to me quite often, But why me? I did nothing to deserve this, It seems a curse has been placed upon my eyes, As I begin to cry. -Ashley McLean

Just My Thoughts and I Today, like many other days I sit, and think With no one to disturb me. My thoughts wonder From this to that And back from that to this But there is one thing That my mind keeps coming back to. As my mind drifts It often drifts to the image of you And the image of me Together But then the image of another Drifts slowly in And she comes to you And you are faced with a problem You must choose between true love and lust I trust you will make the right decision And this makes me smile For I know that you love me And would never deceive me From this thought I know now and forever True love conquers all And I know we will be together Forever. -Ashley McLean
You (Written for Steven A. Kottke) The first thing I think of When I think of you, Is your wonderful smile. The second would be your adorable laugh. I could go on and on, But the list would never end. When I think of the short time That we've been together And of all of the happy memories we've already shared It amazes me to no end And I know that we were meant to be together. I look at you and see overflowing love, hope, and joy As well as charm, strength, happiness and dignity. With all of these wonderful qualities It's no wonder I love you so. -Ashley McLean
Loving You Loving Me/With You Tonight (Written for Steven A. Kottke) As we walk along the moonlit beach Watching and listening to the waves gently roll in Underneath the vast, clear star-filled sky We stop and stare into each other's eyes, You lean down, gently kissing me and take me into your arms. We start to dance, slowly moving from side to side, But all of the sudden we stop. You carefully lift up my face from your broad chest, Then you tell me how much you love me. I reply by telling you that I love you as well and always will. It's just then that you kiss my forehead and take my hand, We begin to walk again and find a place to sit. As we sit we talk for hours, It seems like we'd only been there for minutes Then we see the sun peeking over the horizon, We watch the sun rise and then go out to breakfast Thus starting another new, beautiful day together. -Ashley McLean
Thoughts of You (Written for Steven A. Kottke) A gentle smile on a loving face, Thinking about a special place. Knowing that one day, Together they'll always lay. Man and wife is what they'll be, Won't that be a wonderful sight to see. Knowing you want the same as I Knowing how hard you try, To understand my living hell, You hope that thing will one day be well. I tell you I know that one day. Things will finally work out our way. So I tell you, my wonderful love, There is no one else I dream of. Your sweet anf gentle kiss, Is more than just a bliss. Simple things are what I adore And there is no one or nothing I adore more, Than my wonderful man, Who is part of my eternal plan. -Ashley McLean
My Eternal Love (Written for Steven A. Kottke) To watch two people som uch in love, Extend their vows to the Lord above, Promising to love, honor and obey, Until their last dying day, Is something I love to do, Especially when I'm with you. As I am sitting there, Letting the two love birds know I care, I think of how I wish it were us up there Simling intensely without a care. For, my love for you Is strong and true, And never-ending. They tell us it may never be, It will never be you and me. I tell them that our love is strong, They say it may be so, but we are wrong. We are just two crazy kids in love, And we will never extend vows to the Lord above. I just smile, because I know that they are wrong. For one day, my dear love, It will be us, vowing to the Lord above, Promising to love, honor and obey, Until our last dying day. -Ashley McLean
