Majik - a cry for help
When I first met Majik, he was a scruffy looking, under-developed little pony with not a lot going for him. I saw him in a paddock near my house, felt sorry for him, and made some enquiries as to who owned him. I contacted his owners and asked to buy him. They were only too happy, as they had been considering putting him down becuase he was "a waste of space."

I spent months nursing Majik back to full health, and finally achieved it. Once he'd passed his vet check (with flying colours), I began training him. He went really well, and I began looking for a good home for him. I wanted to keep in touch with him and to have a hand in the continuation of his training.

I've been riding for about six years, and began teaching last year. When I began teaching one of my pupils, Georgiana, she had a little roan pony called Mindy. Mindy was a very good little showjumping pony, but at 17 had begun to get a bit too old to jump the high fences. I asked Georgiana if she was interested having a lesson on Majik. After three weeks of lessons, I asked if she was interested in buying him, and she was very eager. Three days later, Majik was sold.

I miss Majik, but I have another pony now, a 2 year old called Skybeau. I bred him myself out of my Anglo-Arab pony Minuette, and he is by the Connemara stallion Ridgeway Song and Dance. He is a beautiful little chestnut pony with a bright future ahead of him. I already have a rider for him, and he will be sure to go far. I can't wait until next year when I can break him in.
