Mosaic - the perfect pony
My first jumping pony was a 13.3hh skewbald gelding known as Mosaic, or Mo to his friends. Everyone loved Mo. He was the most perfect pony ever – he always did his best, went out of his way to be helpful and was an angel to handle.

Mo taught me to jump, and in the 4 years that I rode him, we progressed from D-grade right up to A-grade. He was a phenomenal jumper, but very honest and safe.

I rode Mo in dressage, showjumping, eventing, hunter jumping and games events. He was always consistent, always did a good job and always tried his best. Together we won over 80 cups, and nearly 800 ribbons.

Together we achieved our Pony Club certificates – C, C+ and B. We went on several pony camps, rode in the local beach races and trekked around the hill country with our friends. We had so much fun together, and I owe it all to Mo.

Mo got along with everyone, ponies and people alike. He was (and still is) the only paddock-mate my other pony Finn will accept in her paddock. Everyone at my Pony Club loved Mo, everyone wanted him.

Sadly, I outgrew Mo several years ago. I was very reluctant to part with him, but at 14, he still had many years ahead of him.

Mo is 17 now, and still going strong.  He is doing really well with his new owners, but I miss him a lot. I’ll never forget Mo, the perfect pony.
