OUR MISSION

Over the past years we find that the lives of our young people have changed a great deal. They begin their journey into life at a much earlier age. This has happened in the sports arena (T-ball), the school system (Pre-K, Kindergarten), and even our churches.

There is competition to gain the attention and interest of young people and their parents. For Job's Daughters to have a presence to compete for membership we must have a program that reaches the girls when they are younger and keep their interest until they can petition at 11 year's old. However to be effective no longer than one year seems feasible; therefore we have established the age of 10.

The Jobie-to-BEE must have known identified Masonic heritage for membership as we are only waiting for her eleventh birthday so she can petition Job's Daughters.

We expect the Daughters of Job's Daughters to mix their obligation as an officer (attendance of meetings, rehearsals) with the social functions (sleepovers, Ocean City, bowling, parties etc.) This is a basic Job's Daughter teaching of responsibility (….you work to eat….too much work and no play)!! To protect the Daughters and our expectations we also need a balance for these prospects; therefore a predefined list of involvement seems best. The GGC policy for chaperons, dress code, etc. would apply to all Jobie-to-BEE members.

A Jobie-to-BEE would be 10 years old with proper Masonic relationship for Job's Daughters and have an interest in membership. She would have some involvement with members of Job's Daughters to get to know them, and they would get to know her.

The Jobie-to-BEE would be recognized at all functions she attends. The BEE sash, and/or BEE button should be worn. She should have special seating at Bethel Installations. Of course she would be introduced as a JTB.

Monthly notes from the Bethel with stickers for the Birthday Calendar are an important part of the program and should be done in a regular timely manner.
