My first pet, is Bear. He is a Lab/Chow mix. I got him on Halloween of 1999. Mom and I had gone to the mall to participate in the Halloween event at the mall and on the way home we stopped at Target and they were giving away these pretty puppies. Bear was all fluffy and cute. He did look like a little black powder puff. But as you can tell by his picture, he looks more like a Lab.

My second pet happened to be Beta Fish. I started with one and then Mommy got me a second one. I named them Tex and Rex. I don't seem to have very good luck with Rex. The fish named Rex always seems to die. Mommy always gets me a replacement one and I have continued to name them Rex. Well just recently Rex died again and this time I think I will change his name. Here is a picture of Tex.

The next pet I got was two fiddler crabs. The reason I got crabs was because during my Kindergarten school year we had Hermit Crabs and I wanted a crab at home. Mommy couldn't find any Hermit Crabs but was able to get me two fiddler crabs. I named them Jim and Tim. Unfortunately Jim died, so now all I have is Tim. Here is the picture of the two crabs.

Then I decided I wanted a cat. A friend of ours from church told us that her cat had kittens and I could have one when they were old enough to give away. Mommy said I could have one. Well they let me have a male kitten and I named him Smokey Joe. I got him on May 18, 2001 and then the very next day we had a festival in town and they had a petting zoo. And I got me a little female kitten named Fluffy. Mommy calls her Screech because she sounds like she is screeching instead of meowing. Here is their picture.

And then on August 11, 2001, Mommy and I went to a Community Flea Market/Garage Sale and guess what I found there to get? I found me a Parakeet. So now I welcome Tweety to my zoo.

And soon I will be adding something new to my zoo. I am in 4-H and this year I will be raising rabbits for my project. As soon as I get them I will be adding their picture to this page. Last year I was too young to be able to show animals of my own but was able to show in the Open Rabbit Show. My neighbor let me show one of her rabbits and I won First Place. I got a plaque and a rabbit carrying cage. I wanted a rabbit so bad to put in that cage that a friend of my neighbor gave me one of her rabbits. I named him Hoppity and had him about three months when he died. I really miss him.
