Every day is the perfect time to say thanks!
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord,
and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
to show forth Thy loving kindness in the morning,
and Thy faithfulness every night.
~Psalms xciii. 1,2
My heart leaps for joy and
I will give thanks to Him in song.
~Psalms 28:7
By Him therefore let us offer
the sacrifice of praise to God
continually, that is, the fruit of
our lips giving thanks
to His name.
~Hebrews 14:15
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to Him and praise
His name.
~Psalms 100:4
Even though I clutch my blanket and growl
when the alarm rings, thank you, Lord,
that I can hear.
There are many who are deaf.
Even though I keep my eyes closed
against the morning light as
long as possible,
thank you, Lord, that I can see.
Many are blind.
Even though I huddle in my bed
and put off rising, thank you Lord,
that I have the strength to rise.
There are many who are bedridden.
Even though the first hour of my day is hectic,
when socks are lost, toast is burned
and tempers are short, my children are so loud,
thank you, Lord, for my family.
There are many who are lonely.
Even though our breakfast table
never looks like the pictures in
magazines
and the menu is at times unbalanced,
thank you, Lord, for the food we have.
There are many who are hungry.
Even though the routine of my job
is often monotonous, thank you,
Lord,
for the opportunity to work.
There are many who have no job.
Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate
from day to day and wish
my circumstances
were not so modest,
thank you, Lord, for life.
Now thanks be to God,
which always causeth us to triumph in Christ.
Giving thanks unto the Father,
which hath made us meet to be partakers
of the inheritance of the saints in light.
~Colossians 1:12
I thank Thee, O Lord,
because Thou hast bound me in the bundle of life.
I thank Thee, O Lord,
because Thou hast saved me from the pit.
I thank Thee, O Lord,
because Thou hast gladdened me with thy Covenant.
I thank Thee, O Lord,
Because Thou hast set thine eye upon me.
The Thanksgiving Hymns, composed from the Dead Sea Scrolls
What am I thankful for this year?
The small and furry things,
The hope that keeps me going,
The peace believing brings.
I have so much to thank God for,
I don't know where to start,
I only know He walks with me,
And lives within my heart!

Give us this day our daily bread...
Matthew 6:11
"Bless this food and us that eats it!"
Amen

"Learn the lesson of thanksgiving.
It is due to God, it is due to ourselves.
Thanksgiving for the past makes us trustful
in the present and hopeful for the future.
What He has done is the pledge of what He will do.
~A.C.A. Hall
What Am I Thankful For?
What am I thankful for this year?
What blessings come to mind?
My dear friends and relations,
So loving and so kind.
Each time I see the sunrise,
And the beauties of the day,
The unexpected little joys,
I find along the way.
When we count
our many blessings;
It isn't hard to see
that life's most valued
treasures are the
treasures that are free.
For it isn't what
we own or buy
that signifies
our wealth.
It's the special
gifts that have
no price:
our family,
friends and
health.

Thanksgiving is not only a debt we owe to God;
It also transforms us. It strengthens our Love for God
And makes us happier and more positive people.
Therefore the more we can thank God, the better.

Bible Readings on Prayer
I find myself thanking God for everything,
For everything furthers you deeper into God
If you let it.
E Stanley Jones
Be thankful when you don’t know something,
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
Because they give you strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary,
Because it means you’ve made a difference.
It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
Are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
And they can become your blessings.
