~July 1,2001~ I turned 28 weeks today. I am feeling pretty good . My sleeping hasnt been to great. I wake alot in the night and toss and turn alot. My hips and shoulders go numb from laying on them all night. I rotate to the right but it does the same thing. We have painted the babys room and we are just about all set.
We have a few things to buy like a glider,and swing but that is about it.

~July 5th,2001~ 28.4 weeks
Today was my 7 month OB appointment.
They checked my weight, and I have gained 5 lbs, so I am at a total of 20lbs.
They also checked my urine and it looked fine. My gluclose test came back negative. He said I am doing great what ever I am eating. The heartrate sounds great, and we talked a bit about induction. He saw on Good morning america that is was more risky then we all thought to have a VBAC with induction. So I told him I have never been induced before and I dont plan on it unless it is medically needed. My tummy measures at 30 weeks, so I am measuring bigger now then I did thru the whole pregnancy.
Next appointment is July 24th. I am at every 2 week appointments now:)

~July 15th,2001~30 weeks~
Well, I am now 7 1/2 months along. I am counting down now that there is 10 weeks till the due date. Here is what I have been experiencing. I have had Braxton Hicks for about a month now. It all started on my trip in Utah. Sometimes they are painful, but mostly uncomfortable. I have had alot of shocking tinges in my cervix lately also. Baby is moving alot. I had a little pinkish show but it didnt last long and I am not sure what it is was even from.
I am also sleeping alot better now. I am not sure why but I am. I am out growing some of my Maternity clothes:) Which is fine, I have plenty, I just hope they all last till I deliver. Can't wait til the next appointment. I will have him check for dilation etc.

Third Trimester

~July 18th, 2001~30.3 weeks~
Well today I have had alot of urine leakage. I wasnt sure if it was Urine or Amniotic fluid so I had to contact the nurse. Last night I also had some thick mucus with tinged pink blood. Either I dilated or it was my mucus plug. My appointment will be here soon.

~July 24th,2001~31.2 weeks~
Today was my appointment with the OB. I have no weight gain and my urine and vitals are all great. My belly is measuring 31 weeks, right on.The Dr was a little rushed with a surgery he had a few hours prior and was backed up so I didnt get to ask my questions or have him check me. He said if I get the mucus again to call asap.to be checked out. My next appointment is August 7th, I will also have another U/S then in the Office, other then at the Tech's.That will make #4 U/S.

~August 7th,2001~33.2 weeks~
Today was my OB appointment. I was weighed and lost a lb. So I am at a total fo 19lbs. My vitals and urine werre fine. I am measuring right on again. I didnt see the Dr. today, they had me see a nurse instead. She was very nice. She checked to see if dilated and Effaced. My cervix is open and dilated to about 2, and the cervix is soft and still long. I told her that lil Marysa is moving alot different then she used to be, so she put me on the NST machine for a good hour. Marysa decided to move every where then. She hated the monitor:) She also decide to wedge her whole body on my right side. I was in the worst pain. The nurse came in with two others and they had to turn me on to my let so the baby would move. Her heartrate was between 130-140.. The nurse said the babys head was also head down.I wasnt able to get a U/S today since the Dr. forgot my Insurance wontcover in office U/S. So I will have to make an appointment with the tech on my next appointment which is in two weeks.

~August 13,2001~34.1 weeks~
Today started out good. But by the time I decided to leave the house to go to the bank, I started to get pains. I wasnt sure if they were contractions of Braxton Hicks. I got home and they were in my lower abdomen and lower back. It hurt worse while I sat and on the left side. I tried to drink, eat and layed on my left side. It still hurt. Not as much as when I was sitting upright though.They lasted for 2 hours. They were way to close together so I knew they couldnt have been contrations. I kept having the feeling I had to pee every 5 minutes, but nothing would really come out. I had alot of pressure. My husband was getting worried since it is to early to have a baby. I was scare a bit myself. Anyways, the worst part was when my whole tummy would tighten up. It was so strong. But it all ended a little after 9pm. It wore me out.

~ August 21st, 2001~~35.2 weeks~
Well my urine, vitals, and baby is doing great. I was suppose to have the Strep B done this day but the nurse forgot to get me a gown and tell me to get undressed so it wasted alot of time already. They will do it on the next appointment.
I talked to the nurse about Induction. She said that since my mom is coming and I have no other babysitters she cant see why I cant have the membranes scrapped at my 37 week appointment if everything looks good, like the cervix etc.I didnt have my cervix checked this appointment. I havent gain any weight so I am still at a weight gain of 19lbs.
Next appointment is on the 28th of August.

~August 28th,2001~36.2 weeks~
Today was another appointment. I have been feeling fairly good. I have had another long False labor ordeal. It happened on the 22nd and lasted 7 hours.
Well the nurse did the Strpe B today, and we will get the results next week. She also checked my cervix, not much change. Still at a 2 and the cervix is very soft. She said babys head is right there so I am guessing at -1 or 0 station? Anyways, vitals, urine and heartrate was wonderful. I did gain 3 lbs in the last week, wow!!
My next appointment is with Dr. Bonifield. He will try to scrape the membranes and see what we can accomplish. My mother will be here on the 10th of September so cross your fingers that this will work. Next appointment is on September 6th at 4pm.

~35.3 weeks~

~September 11th, 2001~
Another word's now known as 9/11.
Today was my birthday. I woke up, felt great. The night before I was feeling crappy because I was having Braxton hicks,(what I thought) but came to find out the next day, I was in labor. On the 10th we picked up my mother at the Airport. I had pains the whole way up and the whole way back and the whole night in general. When I woke up in the morning I didnt feel anything. We got ready for the day. I did my ritual with peeing in the cup for the Dr. Since today was the day for Membrane scrapping. Well since it was my birthday we thought we would go to lunch. While we were getting ready we got a call from my hubby saying to turn the news on. So we did. I could'nt belive my eyes. The twins towers were almost to the ground and just so much was going on, at first I didnt understand, But then they said terrorists and We were in a disbelief. Well we were saddend and all but we were hungery and we did go to lunch. We thought we would talk about it then. We are lunch, chatted, and after an hour we decided it was time to leave. I got up and it felt like I just got off a horse. In between my legs it felt very strange. I told my mom, but then I shrugged it off. We got home, I though I better go to the restroom before heading to the Drs. When I sat on the toliet I had a heavy feeling like the baby crowned. I felt with my fingers and the amnotic sac was hanging out of the cervix. I started to cry. I told my mom and she said,"HUH"? I called the Dr's office and they said to go to the Labor and Delivery and they canceled my appointment of course. I called DH, and I wasited 40 minutes for him to come home. We got to the Hospital and they had a bed ready, since the nurse called and said I was on my way. I got checked and I was right, the sac was hanging. I was put on bed rest. I was NOT to get up. The baby moved up to -5 station so if the sac broke I would have to have a C-section. I was having strong contractions and didnt know it. But they were showing up on the monitor. Anyways, dh was with me and the kids were in school. Kaleb was with my mom so they were going to be cared for by her. What we didnt know is that Marysa was not coming down and we stayed over night. I was in labor in the Hospital for 21 hours. I am not sure how long I was in labor before that. Well the night of the 11th I was so strong thru my contraction's I was so proud of myself. Ryan would hear me saying ouch, ouch during a contraction and would say Jen, please get the Epidural, you will feel much better. I said , "NOWAY" I wish he was better at supporting me at going natural but he had a hard time seeing me in pain. That night we rocked int he rocking chair to get baby down, this is what the nurse talked the Dr into letting me do. I thank her alot. It felt good to get up after all them hours.
I had to pee in a camode(YUCK) and then later that night we were so tired, Ryan fell asleep and they brought him a bed and blankets. And a Nurse came in and asked if I would like a back rub, and she rubbed my back and feet and legs. Man If I could remember her name I would send her a gift:)
She was awesome. Well I slept after that and was awaken at 6am. The Dr. checked me and said I was progressing. I was at a 6 finally. About 9:30am a Midwife came in and saifd she will be delivering, my Dr. was to tired to deliver anymore babies. He delivered 15 on the 11th. The night shift was hirrid for him. Anyways, she checked me and I was at a 8. She said she will be back soon, she had to delvier another next door. She came back in 45 minutes and broke my water, and then the contractions came harder. But I was a trooper. She said she will be back soon. I called the nurse and said I need meds now. I was hurting and I thought I had a long ways to go. But she brought me Morphine and it gave me a allergic reaction so it didnt work. My arm swelled up and the blood vessels did also, so they have to flush it fast. Finally the Midwife came back, and checked me and she said it is time to push. I was shockedcause she was only gone like 30 minutes. I started to push. I felt it all, ouch!. She had me stop pushing while I had two contractions, she didnt want me to tear. I screamed and said I have to push but she said please dont. She was great and I did deliver Marysa without meds or tearing. I felt it all. It was the best burning feeling I have ever had. I say that, because I got such a healthy baby, I got to experience a vaginal without meds. With our other children I had an epidural and with the twins we had a C-section. So now I have got to see and feel all the experiences of delivery:)
She was born at 11:46am September 12th. She was 7lbs. 7oz. She was 21 inches long, but 2 weeks later she was measured at 19inches so they measured her way wrong in the Hospital lol But she is very happy and healthy and so are we.

We named her Marysa Jane She was born at South Jersy Hospital

~September 6th, 2001~
Well todays appointment was the same at the other's. Urine checked, weight checked(havent gained anymore) and vitals. He decided to scrape the membranes on the 11th instead. I was very disappointed. He said he would fill bad if Marysa wasnt ready to be born since I wasnt due till the 27th. So we planned for the next visit, and my mother would be here also. The bad part was, the 11th was my birthday:( But if Marysa was going to be born, well then that would be a great gift, and I would have someone to share my birthday with:-)
