About:

'pears on a lantern' is the latest incarnation of my personal website.  This is tribute to the things I like the most and have great interest in.

There's no set theme to the layout and the site.  A lot of it are random things that catch my fancy and I decide are worthwhile.  I hope to add much more content in the future and I have plans of adding my own original prose and art as well as translations of Chinese short stories, novels, and poetry.  Sometime down the road there might even be a webcomic! (Though, that just might be wishful thinking speaking.)

A little about the layout now:  Most of the coding and image editing of 'pears on a lantern' took me about 5 hours to complete.  The stock for the background image is a photo taken by Mengchi Ho during the Lantern Festival in Taiwan.  All the editing was then done on Adobe Photoshop Elements.  Then, the site itself was put together on Microsoft Frontpage.

 My name is Victoria and I'm currently a junior at Vassar College majoring in English and Chinese.  One day, I hope to be a translator for a publishing company, write novels, and have two greyhounds in a flat in NYC.  Oh, and I'm a Libra too!
