UPDATE - January 16 1999

Happy New Year!  Parker had a terrific Christmas!! To read and see pictures, go to his Christmas Page.

Parker had a doctor's appointment on December 4th for his 6 month needle.  He was weighed at 17 lbs and 1 oz and was 25 1/2" long.  Although Parker didn't get his two front teeth for Christmas, he did get one! On December 21st his Daddy was the first to feel his new tooth! It is the only one that has broken through so far, but others aren't much further behind.  We had a great time visiting all of our family over the holidays, but once we got home Parker got sick.  He had a fever for a few days and we are still trying to shake the last stages of a cold.  Thanks goodness he is back to sleeping through the night!!!  Parker is becoming quite the little chatter box!  If he is awake you are sure to hear him muttering away.  And he just loves to walk around the house, with some help of course!  Just be ready to run, as soon as he has a hold of your fingers he is off and running!  I suppose now is a good time to see some pictures of Parker.

UPDATE - January 20 1999

Just a quick note to let you know that the other night Parker's second tooth broke through.  We had one night where he was fussy, but after a bit of Tylenol he was his old self again.  That is about it for now, check back soon for more updates.

UPDATE - February 21 1999

Parker is growing by leaps and bounds.  He was weighed and measured at home a week ago and was roughly 20 lbs and 27" long.  He is doing and saying so much more everyday.  He loves to go for 'walks' with a little help.  The second  he can get a grip on someone's hands he is off.  We sometimes can't keep up with the little speed demon!  He also has quite an arm, boy can he whip his toys around!!!  Although we spend upwards of two hours a day 'walking' around the house, Parker is also very good at entertaining himself at play.  And it is just as much fun for us to watch him!!! Here at some pictures of Parker at play and at rest.

UPDATE - April 2 1999

Our little baby is very quickly growing into an independent big boy.  Parker is getting around on his own these days, with some tumbles here and there.  We are never too far behind, arms out ready to catch him.  Still no signs of crawling.  His fourth tooth just poked through and he puts those teeth to good use when he snacks on his Arrowroot cookies.  He has also started to use his sippy cup all by himself.

UPDATE - April 24 1999

Parker is now running around the house completely unassisted and faster each day.  Unfortunately, his favourite destination is the VCR and CD's.  He has developed a love of Barney, especially when they are singing and dancing.  He has five teeth and is eating bananas, yogurt and even dill pickles!!!
