I'm a 60 year old wife, mother and granny who used to stay home and plays the roles to the fullest extent. As of September 2007, I'm employed as a substitute in the food service dept. for the school system. I like to volunteer whenever or wherever needed. Am a sign language interpreter (not certified though); bookkeeper; licensed hairdresser; sub-contractor; and musician (wanna be!) I also love cooking; crocheting, knitting and working in the yard. I didn't say I do these things...that I just like them!

I was born, raised and will probably die in Texas...the central heart of Texas that is. I grew up in Albany, TX...the home of the famous Fandangle...a Wild West performance. When I was 11, my family moved to Abilene, TX where I finished my schooling and met my husband. I have one sister who is 4 1/2 years older than me. I've been married to the same man for 39 years and we have 2 beautiful girls. They are Anne who has blessed us with beautiful Sheyanne who will be 12 in Dec., and 7 year old Jarod, who is walking image of his Dad! And, what kind of mother-in-law would I be, if I didn't say Anne also blessed us with a wonderful "son"? When first meeting John, I told Anne I didn't care how he treated her, but that he'd better be good to little Sheyanne. He passed the test!!! Then, double passed it when we were presented with Jarod!!!

And, we have Stephanie, who with Casey has blessed us with 4 year old Xander.

Then, in the mid to late 60's I and a few of my friends got up a rock/jazz band for a night club. I played keyboard...this didn't last long though because we all decided to go on our separate ways. No one wanted to admit that I was hard to get along with! *L* Really though, we just decided this wasn't what we wanted to do. We have a piano, organ, saxophone and clarinet. Should have been here listening to me on the organ, Stephanie on piano and Anne on her trumpet! Rocked BIG TIME! But no longer. *sighs* The girls grew up and went on their separate ways. I donated the organ to a church and the piano is going with Steph to Florida, as it is hers. Have played bass fiddle, cello, violin and accordian. So, you can see I love music.

Don't you think we 2 sisters have aged nicely? (April 2001)

Proud Granny of these two, I'll tell ya! Aug. 2006

WOW! Got to meet Ernie Ashworth, "Talk Back These Trembling Lips" from the Grand Ole Opry! This was an exciting event for me!

I finally realized my dream to go to Sweden (Sverige) in July of 1999. Met the most awesomest Swedish family and stayed with them the 2 weeks I was there!

Just before my dad passed away I promised him I'd put the Swedish flag I had, on his grave, and keep one there as long as I live. While in Sweden, I bought many flags and the very next day after I got back to the states, I went to the cemetery and placed a new flag there....fullfilling my promise to the most dearest man who ever lived on this earth! The cross to the left of the picture is my niece, Kara's, grave. She has a BEAUTIFUL marker there now.
