Walt Disney Presents: MULAN!

Erin went to see this summers newest Disney film; Mulan on Saturday, June 20, 1998.
Mulan is an ancient Chinese tale about a brave girl whose wild spirit clashes with the traditions and her expectations to marry. When war breaks out in her country by the invading Hun Army, she tries to prove to her family that she may not bring honor through marriage, but she will not dishonor them. Her old and ailing father receives a notice that he must fight in the war. Mulan takes his notice and military uniform and joins the Chinese Army. She pretends to be a man. She learns how to be a great soldier and saves Captain Shang and the Emperor of China. She brought victory to her country and honor to her family.
Erin's favorite part of the movie was when the dragon; Mushu (Mulan's fire breathing guardian dragon) said, "Let's go kick some 'Hunny' Bun!". She laughed.
Erin pointed out that this movie was good because there was "No Love and Romance!"
After the movie, we went to the Disney store and Erin got a Mulan Kimono. It is pink and silky. She also got a Mulan purse to match with the new outfit.
