I have become an expert in minibeasts after completing a project during the 1998 summer holidays. The project was entered into a competition organised by "the young peoples trust for the
environment" and earned me the title "ScottishPower Junior winner", in addition, I was awarded a prestigious Otter Trophy.

In November 1998, I attended the Dorchester Hotel in London where I was presented with the Otter Trophy by Sally Meen (GMTV Weather Presenter). Sally was just one of many celebrities that came along to the presentations, others included Matthew Kelly (right), Rolf Harris (left), Paul Daniels, Jerome Flyn, Rod Hull, Frank Thornton, Johnny Morris, Bob Holness, Tony Hart, three members from the cast of "Casualty" and two members from the cast of "The Vicar of Dibley".
