Charlotte and the Enchanted Forest

Once there was a girl named Belle. She liked to read books especially pocketbooks and fairytales. Belle got married to a man named Philip.

Years passed and Belle got sick. She didn't want to eat anything but strawberries. Philip tried to buy strawberries, but they were so poor that they could not even buy a single one.

One day, Philip was compelled to steal strawberries from their neighbor. Their neighbor, named Scarlota, was an old woman that looked like a witch. While picking the strawberries, the old woman saw him.

And she said "You can pick as many strawberries as you want under one condition. If you happen to have a baby girl, give her to me."

Philip thought that they would never have a baby, so he accepted the offer. Years passed, and at last Belle and Philip had a baby girl whom they named Charlotte.

Then the witch suddenly appeared and said, "Oh my dearie, give me my baby!"

Then Belle asked Philip what this was all about. Then he explained to Belle what had happened. After that, Philip said to the old witch, "You will never get Charlotte - Never!"

Scarlota said, "So you want to play games, huh! Try this one." The old woman picked a pouch and sprinkled it on Belle and Philip.

And she said, "You will not be able to move, and when the time comes for you to move you will remember nothing! Hahahaha!"

The old woman picked up the baby and said, "I will keep you and you will never meet anybody else but me."

Years passed and Charlotte grew into a beautiful woman. Her hair was such a shimmery gold that it shone brightly at night. Her eyes were greener than the greenest emerald. Her lips were as red as a rose and her skin as vibrant and vivid as the snow. Scarlota never allowed Charlotte to leave the tower. Scarlota visited Charlotte every afternoon and brought food and other things for her.

One sunny morning, Charlotte was singing near the window. The birds were chirping while in Charlotte's lap. A prince named Charles, riding on his horse, heard her voice and followed the beautiful, luring melody. The prince Charlotte brushing her hair in front of the mirror and he climbed up the tower with a rope. Then Charlotte saw the prince and they gazed at each other.

Finally Charlotte asked the prince "Who are you?"

The prince answered "I am Prince Charles M'Lady. And I heard your beautiful voice while I was out riding."

Charlotte replied, "You must not be here. Scarlota may return soon. And she doesn't want anyone to see me."

"Who is Scarlota? And why won't she let anyone see you?" Prince Charles asked.

Charlotte explained what had happened to her as a baby. The Prince and Charlotte talked for hours that they didn't happen to notice the time.

Charlotte hurridly told the Prince, "You must go now! Scarlota will be here soon."

"We shall meet again in the morning." Prince Charles said.

Charlotte replied, "I will await your return just go quickly NOW!" Luckily Scarlota did not see the prince. Charlotte thought to herself "'At last, I am relieved'"

The next morning the prince visited Charlotte again and when it was dusk, Charlotte said to Charles "Until tomorrow."

"Until tomorrow, then" Prince Charles replied.

While the prince was climbing down the tower, Scarlota saw him.

She said "Evil spell, evil spell, turn this young man into a dove!"

With this the prince flew away. Charlotte went down the tower and ran into the woods. Farther and farther until finally she could run no more.

Charlotte made friends with the forest creatures and in return for her love towards them thay brought her food. Sometimes, the animals played with Charlotte too.

A month passed and Charlotte was singing. When the prince who was still a dove heard the melody and flew to her. Charlotte kissed the dove and was very surprised when the dove turned into Prince Charles. Charlotte and Prince Charles went to the castle and Charles demanded that the guards find Charlotte's parents. And after that, Charlotte and Prince Charles were married. From that day forward they lived happily together.
