Hi! I'm Vic Green.
Thanks for visiting my Web site.

I've been teaching school in Alaska since 1991, and I have no regrets. Alaska is a great place. I wish I would have come here 20 years sooner, when it was a much greater "land of opportunity". Although many people have come to Alaska to get rich, I came just seeking a new life, and I'm still working on that aspect.

Before coming to Alaska, I had been teaching in Texas. Texas is a great place, too, if you can peacefully co-exist with heat, humidity, and bugs. Texas is one of the best training and proving grounds for teachers, and I had some really rewarding experiences while teaching there. I will remember Texas most fondly as the place where I found the Lord.

I developed this website in Brazil during the summer of 1997, while trying to recover from medical complications following abdominal surgery. If I hadn't made it back to the USA when I did, I probably wouldn't be around to completely redo the website during the summer of 1999. I'm not dying this summer (1999), but I am having to do everything one-handed because I'm recovering from shoulder surgery.

This website started out to be a travel site because I was an independent travel agent for Intelletravel International (which has subsequently gone the way of the dinosaurs). I was so proud of my first website, I really hated trashing it. I wanted to put it in a museum with the other dinosaurs, but I decided that it was more important to get out my new information as expediently as possible. I'm just glad I was able to keep and fully utilize my three airplanes. This site is still very much a travel site, but I think it's much better. I have a real passion for talking about things I believe in, and I believe in all the concepts presented in my homepage. Timeshares, magnets, online shopping, and e-commerce all work: painlessly with zero negative side-effects. Originally, the purpose of this website was to just try and compete for your dollars by selling you travel. It's much more fun trying to make you money and save you money.

Here's something else that works painlessly with zero negative side effects. You've probably noticed the AllAdvantge.com banners on top of all my pages. They are there because I believe in that concept, also. I really do get paid for surfing the Internet. I'm not sure why it works; I just know it works. If you are an island unto yourself, you won't get rich at 50 cents an hour, but if you have a lot of friends who have a lot of friends who have a lot of friends, etc., and all of you are getting paid to surf the Internet, then all of your financial worries will become history because you will be getting overrides from each and every individual in your group. All it takes is an initial 15 to 30 minutes (or less), and you never have to fool with it again.
SOMETHING FOR NOTHING?
ABSOLUTELY!
Zero cost to you = $00.00

I graduated from high school in Kalispell, Montana, a lovely community in the northwest corner of the state. I had a happy childhood, and looking back on it, I can't imagine that there could have been a better time or place for me to grow up. Unfortunately, a lot of kids used tobacco and alcohol, but to the best of my knowedge, nobody was involved with any other drugs -- including inhalants. There were fights, but nobody used weapons, and there wasn't any gang activity. People were relatively safe; women were safe in their homes, and kids were safe on the streets.

While in the Army, I got a pretty good glimpse of Europe - especially France and Germany. Then, in 1971 as a "sky marshall", I flew east as far as Bangkok and west as far as Tokyo. Hawaii and pre-war Beirut were among my favorite places. Beirut was referred to as "The Paris of the East." I had really developed a passion to travel. Then suddenly, due to personal circumstances, all my traveling stopped for many years. My passion lay dormant until Christmas, 1995, when I went on my first cruise. I fell in love with St. John, St. Maarten, and the Caribbean. During the summer of 1996, I spent 6 interesting weeks in Kunming, Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China. Kunming's ideal climate has earned it the distinctive title, "City of Eternal Spring." I also spent two weeks in Yunnan Province during Christmas vacation, 1996. Yunnan Province is extremely inexpensive, and as a ersult, it is a great place to shop. I especially liked shopping for handcrafted wood products. I spent the summer of 1997 in Fortaleza, Brazil - a beautiful city with a fabulous climate. I really enjoyed some of the local cuizine, especially some of the fish and seafood dishes. Although I fell in love with Brazil, in general, I found the crafts markets to be the most exciting.  The hand carved wood products are the finest I have ever seen, and the sand paintings are absolutely amazing -- beautiful, inticate, and inexpensive!  The sand paintings alone are sufficient reason for taking a trip to Brazil (but you'll only find them in Fortaleza). A friend of mine in Londrina, Brazil (another lovely city) took a trip to Fortaleza in April, 1998 and didn't even know about the sand paintings. I not only told my friend about the sand paintings, I also gave directions on where to find the best sand paintings at the best prices. If you're planning to take a trip to Brazil, I would strongly recommend that you contact me for some friendly and helpful pointers. I would also recommend that you don't neglect at least a quick side trip to Fortaleza (unless you hate beautiful artwork at rock bottom, "starving artist" prices). You may want to brush up on your Portugese, also. You can get the language software at places like Price/Costco for a very affordable price.

On March 21, 1998, I got married to a wonderful woman who was living in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. We met on the Internet on January 9, 1998. I guess you could say that we didn't waste any time. In retrospect, I can say that it was one of the smartest things I ever did, and I have never had a moment of regret. Bev introduced me to Las Vegas for our wedding, and that began my passionate love affair with Las Vegas. I'm not a gambler, but Las Vegas is definitely MY KIND OF TOWN! During the summer of 1998, Bev and I went on a 2 1/2 month honeymoon that began and ended in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii, and that prompted my love affair with Kona. Kona is exactly the opposite of Las Vegas, but it's also MY KIND OF TOWN.
