Amy Ting

Amy Ting is a poetry-winning writer who has been featured in ' NeoLogue ' , ' The Aether Sanctum ' , ' Write On Magazine ' , ' Lennartz On-Line Publishing ', ' Arabia ' , ' Spank ! Youth Culture Online ', ' Poetry for Readers & Poets ' as well as ' The AlienFlower Poetry Workshop ' . She is the 1997 Aspiring Writer Romance Genre Valentine's Poetry WINNER. As a songwriter, her musical scores gain approval by the East Coast Record Productions, Fruit of the Vine Productions, Canadance Music Records Publishing as well as the Art Kaufman Magic Key Productions Incorporated. As a registered nurse ( R.N. ) in the Republic of the Philippines, she worked as a Pediatrics Staff Nurse at the Mary Johnston Hospital ( MJH ) from June 1984 to June 1985 and employed herself as an Emergency Room Staff Nurse at the Metropolitan Hospital ( MH ) from August 1985 to January 1987 ever since she finished her secondary education at the Hope Christian High School ( HCHS ) in March 1980 as well as her university graduation at the Philippine Christian University-Mary Johnston College of Nursing ( PCU-MJCN ) obtaining Bachelor of Science in Nursing ( BSN ) on March 18, 1984. She continued her Master of Arts ( M.A. ) in Nursing studies at the University of Santo Tomas ( UST )-Graduate School from 1985 to 1986. In addition, she is a life member of the Philippine Nurses Association ( PNA ) and the Philippine Christian University-Mary Johnston College of Nursing Alumni Association ( PCU-MJCNAA ). In 1987, she stayed in Taipei,Taiwan,Republic of China for six consecutive months. She continued her nursing practice in the Philippines as a private nurse practitioner in various hospitals and home setting at the Metro Manila area after the trip from Taiwan,Republic of China ( R.O.C. ). She obtained an INDEPENDENT IMMIGRANT ( Immigrant by Nursing Profession ) VISA successfully on November 22, 1989 at the Canadian Embassy of the Philippines under the current Canadian Immigration Worker Selection Criteria as a professional nurse. As an eligible Canadian NURSE immigrant, she earned the credit by passing several written as well as oral examinations and decisions made from the panel of evaluators both here and abroad. She did the long journey of step-by-step application successfully without a petitioner nor assistance from anybody ever since 1985. She acquired the eligibility for the Canadian Registered Nurses Licensure in the two famous provinces of CANADA - British Columbia and Ontario. Arriving at Toronto,Ontario ( CANADA ) on January 14, 1990 ( Sunday ), she continued working as a health practitioner in various Canadian Hospitals around the Greater Toronto area and acquired her Canadian citizenship on March 3, 1994. She manages her online musical production at Amy Ting Production after fruitfully involved with S.R.T. Med-Staff International as a health caregiver for more than six years in Canada. Moreover, she works independently as an Account Executive of VenerNet advancing global self-employment at CASHLINK . With her Chinese heritage, she speaks fluent Chinese ( Hokkien and Mandarin ), English, Spanish, and Tagalog. She is the second daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Simon Ting Su Chiau ( deceased father ) and Mrs. Ting, Margaret Ty So Kheng ( mother ). She is the sister of Gretel, Alexander, Hepzibeth, Gloria, Ruthie, Jean, Bathshua, and John. Among those people behind her success, she acknowledges the moral support of Dean ERLINDA R. PUNONGBAYAN, Dean Remedios C. Santiago, Mrs. Nena P. Grospe, Mrs. Trinette King, Dra.
