Meet Miss Luann...a face that launched a thousand ships (or at least this website)
Here's "my bonnie" Luann (at right--although note the striking resemblance to Tori) in the shop on one of her recent visits over to see me. She's a multi-talented young woman from southern Ohio who has a music collection rivalling my own (and good taste to boot). A world traveller, Lu accompanied me on my pilgrimage to Graceland a while back, which is enough to cement any relationship. She has an Italian leather sofa and the requisite accessories. A few years ago, she met George Thorogood in the audience of a Billy Squier (!!) concert, and not recognizing him at first, somehow or other asked him to tie her shoe, and thus George's tune "Miss Luann" was born (containing the lyric "I ain't fit to tie your shoes.")...the stuff of legend, she is!Sigh. So now you know.
(At this point, the webmaster is reminded of a joke...)
One fateful day, a devoted music fan dies and goes to Heaven, where he's greeted at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter. The fan asks St. Peter "on Earth, there's been a lot of conjecture about Rock and Roll Heaven...is there such a thing?"
St. Peter replies "Oh my yes... let's see, tonight we have a band featuring Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Keith Moon."
The fan says "That's great! Amazing...I can't wait!"
"Well there's just one thing," says St. Peter. "See, God has this girlfriend, and she sings..."
