I am originally from Ethiopia , a country inEast Africa . I have five brothers and three sisters. After I finished high school there I tought in elementary school for a couple of years. I have lived in the former Soviet Union for two and a half years. Then a little over a year in West Berlin , a territory of West Germany in what used to be East Germany. Finally, toward the end of March 1989 I came to California , in the US . I haven't moved from the Los Angeles area for the last five years. When I look back, the best thing I got out of living in other countries is that I have learned the languages and I have gained a better understanding of how much culture and past history can influence a society in every aspect. That is very evident in the way people use language to express their thoughts.
I am a computer science student at Cal. State Univ. Long Beach. I work part time designing, implementing, or maintaining databases, local area networks and buying or selling computers, printers etc. I am usually at school in the computer lab or working in someones office on or off campus.
