2000 chain case lube for snowmobiles and ATV's.
* ATF - Universal
ATF. Meets Mercon / Dexron III specs. Can also be used in many
power steering and / or hydraulic units. While obviously not a gear
oil it makes sense to include it on this page. If you pull a boat
or equipment trailer, you need this product. If you sit in traffic
during rush hour every day, you need this product. If the prospect
of paying $1,500 for a rebuilt transmission is distressing, you need this
product.
Now available:
ATF+4 (ATE) and Mercon
V types. Be very careful about using any additive, or letting someone
esle add one for you, that claims to be able to upgrade your ATF to the
new Mercon V spec. CAVEAT EMPTOR: Tests have shown that the heat
stability of the resultant blend is significantly worse than the base ATF
without the additive. You may have a "Mercon V" type oil but if it
wears out too quickly and the transmission suffers than you'll be looking
at an expensive repair.
