* History of Hase Petroleum Wax Company.
 Hase Petroleum Wax Company was started in 1983 by Mr. Scott Hase.  Scott had previously
spent nine years with National Wax Company.  Management reorganization created the need for change.

The immediate success of Hase Petroleum Wax Co. resulted from an agreement
with Sohio (later BP) in Lima, Ohio, to market their slack waxes.  This was previously done with no success by National Wax Co., Moore & Munger Marketing and others.  Sohio produced three grades of slack wax, only one of which had one customer.  When BP shutdown their lubricants operation in 1990 they were selling 50,000,000 lb. of slack wax per year, with
over half being sold through Hase Petroleum Wax Co.

In 1989 Hase Petroleum Wax Co. hired Mr. Bob Marek from Moore & Munger Marketing who specialized in the refined micro, paraffin and poly wax markets.  Also at that time HPwax merged two smaller wax brokerage companies; Basic Minerals & Chemicals of Kalamazoo, MI, and L.R.Cross of Syracuse NY into Hase Petroleum Wax Co.

Due to supply limitations of slack wax now available to Hase Petroleum Wax Co., Hase sales of other waxes have surpassed sales of slack wax.  HPwax has had steady growth since 1983 with 1991 sales exceeding US$10.5 million and over US$16.5 million in 1997.

In June 1992 Mr. Walter J. Wagner, formerly of Hercules, Inc., joined Hase Petroleum Wax Co.  Because of his experience in wax emulsions, he is familiar with the wax needs of emulsion producers and also the needs of the building products producers who use molten wax to produce structural panels.  This expertise, coupled with Hase’s many years of slack wax experience, make Hase Petroleum Wax Co. an ideal broker for slack wax.

In January 1994 Mr. Thomas M. Gallo, formerly of Transport Service Company, joined Hase Petroleum Wax Co.  His expertise in sales and transportation optimize the services now available from Hase.

In January 1995 Mr. Paul B. Buck joined Hase Petroleum Wax Co.  Previously, Paul was Market Development Manager for 2½ years at Petrowax Refining.  Before that he held sales and sales management positions during 9½ years at Astor Wax Corporation and brings to Hase Petroleum Wax Co. experience in adhesives, candles, rubber, packaging,
plastics and many other wax consuming applications.

In 1994 Hase also purchased a new and expanded facility to accommodate its growing business activity.
