Member of Software QA team responsible for development of software tools and test programs/procedures to verify functionality and performance for the following Quarterdeck products: WebCompass - Combination of database and internet search engines. It uses multiple search engines simultaneously, automatically generating summaries and keywords for each document that match the search criteria. Then organizes the retrieved documents into a hypertext indexed by topics, creating a database of Internet locations frequently visited. eXpertise - an X Window System server and related applications for personal computers running Microsoft Windows NT or Windows 95. It allows end users to have access to DOS, Windows, and X Window System applications side by side on one PC platform. Tested the following features: X Windows System window manager (such as TWM, MWM, Sun Microsystems OpenWindows, Hewlett-Packard's HP-VUE, and others), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), UNIX/X Window System printing to a PC printer, BDF, PCF, FON, TrueType, and Adobe Type Manager fonts compatibility, Microsoft Windows compliance, as well as Motif-based Operator Interface.

QA Lead for a multifunctional fax-printer-copier-scanner system based on MAW (Microsoft at Work) with PC connectivity. Responsible in writing Overall Customer acceptance Test Plan, setting up a defect tracking system, automating a regression suite and setting up the release criteria. Monitored the activity of unit test, system test and integration test. Communicated with the architects, developers, testers, writers, manufacturing engineers and marketers dedicated to developing and shipping multifunction machines. Managed DVT (Design Verification Test) process as well as Environmental Test Chamber activities in Dallas and LG-GoldStar (South Korea). Involved in deployment process of prototype units to production line in South Korea.

Member of System Test team to develop and test GUI release of Xerox Print Services Management (XPSM). XPSM is a client-server-based system providing the capability to print data streams in a distributed; multi-host environment to Xerox centralized printers. The system components included the Xerox Print Server Client (XPSC) for MVS, the Xerox Print Server Manager (XPSM) for AIX, and printer Operating System Software (OSS) supporting and enhanced printer interface. Client interface to the server via SNA/SDLC or Token Ring. Printer connectivity is via S370 channel. Tested the following key features: Job Management, Workload Balancing, Resource Management, Job Accounting, Support for Multiple Client and Multiple Printers, Printer Sharing, and Motif-based Operator Interface.

As a Team Leader of the Engineering Test Group was responsible for design, development and execution of Alpha/Beta, functionality, boundary, stress, performance, compatibility, certification test for IBM/Intel 80X86 based compatible products, in DOS, Windows, OS/2, Novell, environment. Wrote test plans, conducted tests, and generated test results, as well as prepared final test evaluation reports. Served as technical interface between customer and laboratory staff.

As a member of Testing Laboratories performed Hardware/Software, Alpha/Beta, compatibility, certification, system test for various products using automated test tools as well as debugging tools like XCALIBER, MS-Test, Bounds Checker, Codewright and others. Employed the following memory management tools to stress test the products: QEMM, EMM386, STOKER, and DBLSPACE. Used LINT, MS-Debug, and other debuggers in Pre-Integration and Alpha testing. Tested for Compatibility following products: MS-Windows v3.x, Novell/NetWare v4.0, Intel-486, MS-DOS 6.0, MS-Excel v4.0, SOUNDBLASTER, IBM EduQuest, WordPerfect SIX, etc.

Member of Software Test team responsible for development of software tools and test programs/procedures to verify performance and functionality as well as hardware/software interfaces for Xerox 4010/4030, low volume printers. Performed functional, boundary, compatibility and regression testing. Developed and executed test suites using "C" and PostScript in DOS and Windows environment.

Member of product assurance team to develop and test GUI release, GlobalView, Document Editor, and Docutran for SunSPARC/XEROX workstation/desktop. Responsibilities were to certify GlobalView system properly complied with Nsfiling standards of Multilingual/Asian editing, storing, retrieving, mail, file conversion, Deskset Openwindow for GlobalView environment, window to UNIX shell, X-Windows, as well as TTY emulation. This included the assurance via a very comprehensive windowing and Networking systems.

Also served as the team leader for computer lab support group. Provided support and software installation (SunOS, BWS, Document Editor, UNIX, Novell/NetWare, etc.) for entire QA team. Served as the technical interface between development and test group to ensure timely and accurate debug support and provided debugging assistance to development as needed. Performed remote debugging using TCP/IP Bridge in the XDE environment. Primary area of expertise include UNIX interoperability, system configurations, network administration and software/hardware interface.

Performed system evaluation and trouble shooting for Ashton-Tate (dBase III/IV) product for the following: multi-user/single-user system functionality's, pre-integration, product utilities, product installation. Also designed and developed software utilities to provide a full automation of the testing process. Wrote test plan, executed tests by running automated and manual test suites, created test reports and verified bug fixes. Involved in OS/2 porting and conversion of dBase IV and utilities.

Performed system design and development of new software package providing a direct system communication using x.25 and x.400 protocol to industrial machines, and full office automation using CAD/CAM, dbVISTA (database) in DOS, UNIX or VMS environment. Provided technical support at sales, engineering, production and customer service level.
