For the Pneumatic Add-On the following applies. Once you have built these devices your going to want to know how to power them up. Well this page is just for that.
The tire valve stem can be found at any local Automotive
Store. The valves are used on tires so you can blow the
crap out of them, so they will with-stand the pressure. You
just install them by drilling a hole wide enough in the cap and
screw it on VERY snug. Real simple.
FOR FIRING
You should have some kind of hose hooked up to a source of air.
Preferably an air compressor or an air tank. Put a nozzle
on the end of the hose to connect to the valve stem. Its
just a simple tire nozzle. When the nozzle is on the end of
the valve it will start filling up the chamber. You'll be
able to hear it inside the chamber filling up. Keep putting
air in until the slight hissing of the chamber has stopped.
This way you'll know that your cannon has reached it maximum air
capacity.
So now your cannon is filled with air. You can remove the
hose that you used to fill the chamber. The air will be
held in that chamber until you give the valve a charge.
Warning: Try not to leave the air in the chamber for long
amounts of time, or when transporting the cannon, don't leave the
air inside the chamber. Otherwise your ready to blast away.
That should be all you need to know about filling the chamber.
Don't forget to learn how the Solenoid Valve works.
