The Freimann Family Tree
Notes for Betty FREIMANN

Address Note
Betty and her husband Max Fruh, along with their two children , Rosi (21,not married) and Elsbeth (16), were living in Schwabacher Strasse 13 , same address as Ida Freimann (Betty's mother, widdow of Heinrich Freimann) , and were all deported from there on 22-03-1942 to Izbica .

It is not certain whether this had been their permanent address, or did they join Ida after her husband's death in 1933, or just before their deportation in 1942.

Death Note
Betty and her husband , along with their two daughters, were deported from Fuerth 22.3.1942 to Izbica.

In the years 1941 to 1943 started the "evacuation to the east" of the remaining Fuerther Jews to Riga, Izbica, Theresienstadt and Auschwitz. It is assumed, that the final destination of the Izbica transports was the extermination camp Belzec.

The deportations of Fuerther Jewry were accomplished in three large scale actions:

November 26-27 1941: some 90 people deported to Riga.

March 22, 1942: some 230 people deported to Izbica.

September 10, 1942: some 160 people to Theresienstadt.

Many Fuerther Jews committed suicide. Among them was Heinrich Freimann, Betty's father.

Welcome to the Freimann family tree web-site. This site contains genealogical data of individuals related to my family , the Freimanns and the Katzenbergers from Germany , as well as my wife's family , the Lasnicks. I wish to thank Thea and Heinz Skyte , who have done a remarkable research on the Jewish Community of Sugenheim, for so generously sharing their "Freimann" data with me. Special gratitude also goes to David Seldner, my friend and cousin , and to Christiane Kohl , for their crucial help and contribution to the "Katzenberger" research. If you have any information or connections to the above individuals, please let me know. Thank you. Joach Freimann , Israel.
