The Rehms


There is much work to do with the "REHM" line but this is what is known so far:
William Rehm married Luise Maier and they moved to West Sand Lake, NY. They had one son, Charles W. Rehm, born 1884.

Shortly thereafter, either William Rehm died or moved on with his life, but "Charlie" and his mother moved to a farm in Wynantskill, NY. Charlie met Esther A. Uline and they were wed October 1907. They had four children:
1. Eleanor Louise Rehm, born 1908
2. Charles Donald Rehm, born 1914
3. Ralph Uline Rehm, born 1910
4. Harold Milton Rehm, born 1922

1. Eleanor married Thomas DeMott Black, in 1927. They divorced in 1940's and she remarried to Robert R. Sloan in 1944.

More information on the "Blacks"

The "boys" all entered the service, serving in WW II, Charles(known as "Don") and Harold were sent to Saipan and Ralph stayed in the US. Harold was killed in the final battle of Saipan in 1944.
2. Don married Dorothy Thomas. They had no children.
3. Ralph married Dorothy Brust. They had two children:


Frankle/Maier


Daniel Frankle married Regine Schadel in Konigsbach (Baden) Germany. They had a daughter:
1. Magdalene Frankle, born in Konigsbach
Magdalene met Christian Maier from Stein, Germany. Christian was shoemaker. They a daughter, Luise Maier, born in October, 1860 in Konigsbach. At this time Christian & Magdalene were not married. It is known that Luise had a sister Kate. Whether or not Christian is the father, or if they ever married is still unknown. From here, Luise and Kate, togehter, came to the US about 1877.
Kate married John Miller. They had two children:
1. Bertha Miller - never married
2. Lulu Miller - she married William Giles and they had one son:
William Giles
