Loyola Hospital is located in the Chicago area. They have a new beautiful full service cancer center. They have a separate Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department for childhood cancer.
The Make a Wish Foundation grants wishes to seriously ill children. Most younger children go to Disney World in Florida, where they are treated very special and afforded very special privileges.
Oncolink is sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania, is a tremendous source of information on various treatments for all forms of cancers. Their information is broken down for people with little or no medical knowledge or for people with medical back rounds.
Ronald McDonald Children's Charities has housing available to families with children requiring a long stay in the hospital. Their community style housing is a comfort to parents during some of the hardest times in their lives, the serious illness of a child.
Vitas Hospice is a hospice organization specializing in dignified end-of-life care. The people at Vitas helped Paigé and her family make her last days peaceful and dignified.
