Here I am at age 6 months.
(I was pretty cute, huh?)

Here I am at 1 year old.  I just keep getting better! I loved to be lady like all the time.

This is me at 2½.  I was
always
smiling.  I liked
laughing too.

I was born on Monday April 4, 1988 in Chicago, IL.  I was 3 months old in the picture.

Christmas 1992, I was 4.  I could never find shoes I liked for this dress, even then I was such a girl!

In 1993 on
Halloween I had fun dressing as
Tinkerbell  I was 5.

Halloween 1994.  I was  Minnie Mouse, I couldn't wait to see her in
Disney World.

This is my first day of
kindergarten
I was 5.

This was my 6th birthday.  It fell right around Easter so I got to wear my beautiful Spring dress for this happy and fun day.
Then my life got sad...

On August 12, '94 I was diagnosed with Leukemia.
My life changed,  but I still liked to smile, see.

X-mas 94.

Disney World  95.

  X-mas 95

In 1996 I was getting better.  My  treatment was almost over.  My hair came back and I started to grow it long.  I was so happy, I was going to be like normal kids again!

My family and I went to Disney World in May '97.  We had a great time.  This was my last family vacation.  The Docs tried to help me, but my Leukemia was too strong for the

Then on Jan. 28,'97 I got sick again.  I had to go back to the hospital, but Winnie The Pooh came to visit me.  I also got to see him when I went back to Disney

So, on July 17, 1997, I went home.  My Auntie Chris and Aunt Iris got me 2  kittens, Ricky and Lucy.  I loved them.  They made the last 3 weeks of my life  really  wonderful.  Now they can keep my Mommy and Daddy company.

I surprised everyone by walking,  here with my Cousin Adriana and my Tatie Annette.  It was nice to see everyone smile at me.  They were so proud of my strength.  What they didn't know was I was only strong because of the love I got from my family and my friends.  I have so many people who loved me and my live was very full.  I lived more in 9 years than lots of older people I knew.

On August 7, 1997 at 11:48 p.m., I closed my eyes, took a breath, said 'good-bye' and I died.  But I still live on.  Here is the Lilac bush in my backyard.  My spirit lives there, for I picked the place where it would be planted.  My Grandmère Mary  and my Grandmother Eleanor planted it, in my spot, the day after my death.

Can you see me in the sky?  I am the Angel in the clouds.  I am the butterfly in your garden.  I am the cool wind on your neck on that warm summer night.  But mostly, I am in your heart.  So, don't feel sorry for me, just remember,  every time you think of me I live on.
