The Keys are a paradise, especially for nature lovers. Here are some pictures that we took, mostly on Big Pine and No Name Keys. Click on a picture to make it bigger.
Some Local Photographs
Key deer -- an endangered species -- live in Big Pine Key and neighboring islands. For more pictures of key deer, click here or here or here.
Birds abound on our islands. For more pictures, click here or here. We shot these pelicans on the bridge that links Big Pine to No Name Key. This one visited us while we were gardening.
Alligators live on our islands too. For more pictures, click here or here or here. We shot this one at the Blue Hole Pond on Big Pine Key, which warns you not to get too close.
Our islands were formed from the sea, out of coral; nowhere on the Keys are you far from water. Here's sea grass, a baby key, and open water.
This is Bahia Honda beach (also here and here). Here's a kayak, three birds, and the old bridge.
