Part of a poem that I had written to myself at perhaps the lowest time of my life.

'The dream was there, just out of reach
Shifting like sand upon a beach
My eyes were blind, for they could not see
The highest obstacle in life was ME.

                         Pre Artistic Awakening
This page is dedicated to my childhood dream of becoming an artist.  A dream which I never actively pursued until well into my 30's.
I have not had any formal art training but I truly believe that the need to create is a burning ember within us all but it is only the bravest among us who has the fortitued to kindle the flame.

Having said this, I now present works which up until 1985 were simply 'wishes'.  Now they are reality.  A reality which I hope that I have actively and successfully passed on to my own two children.
My best advice to them has always been, "Always follow your dreams."
These 4 mini plaques are just that......mini.  Each measures 3" x 4".

Getting any kind of detail in a painting that small requires a lot of patience, but I enjoyed it immensely.
People have asked me why I go to all that bother of creating somethng so small.  I do it because it is a challenge.  My husband never views a painting from afar.  He always goes right up to it, so I try to put in as much detail as my eyes will allow :o)  I can usually complete one in an evening.
Please come in and stroll through my own personal "Art Gallery".   1999 has been the first year that I have actually shown my work to the public, and that has only been through some small art/craft shows in my area.
Who knows, perhaps someday my work will hang in a real Art Gallery.  But for now, it is quite happy to reside here.    Thanks for coming.
Sorry, I'm all out of hor d'oeuvres and wine. :o).
This is an acrylic painting done on a wooden plaque.  I call this "Cabin on a Hill".
I painted this in 1998.  I often paint places where I would like to be at that particular moment.  Very therapeutic.
I call this one "Forest Glade".
This is another painting that I can focus on and feel completely relaxed.  I love the woods especially when the sun is shining through the trees.  I am at peace.
This one is SOLD!
Good bye old friend.  I miss you.
Very small plaque,  7 1/2" x 5 1/2".  After years of painting 40 foot sets for our children's theatre working this size is such a treat.

I call this Tranquil Pond.  It was also painted in 1998.
One of my very favourite places to be.....Temagami, Ontario.
This is the second painting that I have done from a photograph that I took while on vacation.  The first one, a little larger, was purchased by my veterinarian.

Temagami, Ontario is in the heart of 'loon' country.  Peaceful, majestic, a fisherman's paradise.  An artists 'retreat'.

WINTER GLOW
My little furry friend seems to be enjoying the winter colours.
An 8 x 10 acrylic painting completed in '97.  Notice the signature is C.M.Redmond.
That's me.....Caroline Marie Redmond.  Not many people know that my given first name is "Caroline", so let's just keep that our little secret.....OK?
This Snow painting above was done right on a real rock with acrylic paint.  Makes a great paper weight or conversation piece.
This one is SOLD!
Winter Creek

This is a new painting which was one of 5 that I completed in October 1999.

I love painting winter scenes, but I hate snow!

Remember:  All of these paintings may be purchased unless marked "sold".
Just call for pricing.
Winter Morn

Another winter scene done in acrylic paint.  This one makes me shiver.   Brrrrrrr!

Size is approx.  7" x 11"
Winter Sparkle

Snow melting in puddles.  Could this mean that spring is just ahead?

This painting is approx.  5 1/2" x 7"

A similar painting may be created in a larger format if interested.
Autumn Glory

Autumn is my favourite time of the year.
I just wish that I could get outdoors more and paint on the spot.
I also wish that I could walk right into this painting.  Where's my fishing rod?

Approx. size:  7" x 11"
Autumn by the Pond

This painting is so relaxing.  Makes you want to walk right into it and check out what is around the bend.

I would love to spend a few days here just enjoying nature.

Aprrox. Size:  7 1/2" x 11"
Winter Farm
Another favourite subject.  Do you think that those horses are cold?
More paintings of horses (close up) will follow since I now have taken photos of the real thing.   I just love living in the rural country.
Approx. size:  7" x 11"
This one is SOLD
Day's End
Paddling back to camp after a day of fishing.  Spectacular sunset tops off another northern Canadian summers day.
Size:  8" x 10"
Mill Pond
My very 1st painting on a plaque.  It captures the true coldness of winter and yet remains warm and inviting.
I'm very proud of this one.

Approx. size:  8"x11"
Sunset Birch
This is probably the most colourful painting that I have ever done.
Jumps right out at ya!

Approx. size:  8" x 10"
